Now Enrolling for 2026

What to Expect

Starting early learning or kindergarten is a significant milestone for your family. Our team is committed to making this transition as smooth, positive, and reassuring as possible for both you and your child.

Orientation & Transition

We understand that the best way to prepare your child for childcare is to help them feel excited and comfortable. When families approach this new journey with a positive mindset, it boosts children's confidence so we work together with you to create a warm, welcoming experience from day one.

Before your child begins, we provide:

  • A family orientation session to meet our educators and explore the environment
  • "Stay and play" transition visits so your child can settle in at their own pace
  • Dedicated time to talk through your child's routines, interests, comfort items, and any specific needs
  • Flexible options to extend visits if your child would benefit from extra time to adjust

These visits support children to feel safe, confident, and comfortable in their new surroundings—while giving families reassurance and peace of mind about their child's care.

Your Child's First Day

When you arrive, a friendly team member will welcome you at the door, show you to your child's room, and support you both as you settle in. We encourage you to spend some time playing together, exploring the space, and meeting the educators and other children.

We know the first day can bring big feelings for both parents and children. Our Centre Manager and educators will be there to answer questions and talk you through what your child's day will look like, so you feel confident, reassured, and well prepared.

Tips for a Smooth Start

  • Keep the morning calm and consistent so your child knows what to expect
  • Arrive a little earlier to allow time for a relaxed, unhurried goodbye
  • Create a simple goodbye ritual — a special hug, high-five, or phrase that signals you'll be back
  • Stay positive — your confidence helps your child feel safe and secure

Most children start to feel settled within one to three weeks. During the first few days, we'll provide courtesy calls with updates so you can stay connected and reassured throughout the day.

What Families Need to Bring

To help your child feel comfortable and prepared throughout the day, we ask families to provide a few essential items. Packing these the night before can make mornings smoother and more relaxed, helping everyone start the day with ease.

Essential Items

  • Labelled change of clothes (we recommend two sets)
  • Labelled water bottle
  • Comfort items for rest time, such as soft toy
  • Any additional personal items requested by educators

For Younger Children

  • Bottles and formula or expressed milk, if required
  • Dummy or pacifier, if used
  • Sleeping bag

Please ensure all items are clearly labelled with your child's name. You'll receive specific room details and any additional requirements before your child's start date.

Daily Communication & Family Partnerships

We recognise that families are children's first and most important teachers. Building genuine partnerships grounded in trust and respect is central to everything we do. Our communication approach keeps you closely connected to your child's learning and experiences each day.

How We Communicate

  • • Daily reflections and learning documentation displayed in each room
  • • Photos and observations capturing children's experiences and progress
  • • Friendly conversations at drop-off and pick-up
  • • Regular updates through our family communication platform

Your Involvement

  • • Share your feedback, ideas, and family goals with our educators
  • • Join special events, celebrations, and centre activities
  • • Contribute to your child's learning portfolio
  • • Arrange meetings anytime to talk about your child's growth and development

Together, we create a supportive community that nurtures every child's learning, wellbeing, and sense of belonging.
